Message: Hello there.
All is not lost with the origionals. It is possible to refurbush them yourself if your buget is limited. I have found that careful cleaning with a scotchbrite pad on an angle grinder can remove most of the old laquer and corrosion. when you are satisfied with the cleanliness, paint using plast-kote spray paint(Aluminium is the best colour) lightly building up lots of coats, allowing to dry horizontally between coats. The results on my wheels are long lasting and have fooled many a scrutiny from others themselves asking where did I get them refurbished and can I get theirs done for me! The secret is removing the wheels to lay flat so that the paint coats can flow slightlty and careful preparation of the wheel in the first place. You do loose the two tone effect of the origional but if you were to have them proffesionally refurbished, wou would anyway. On a different tack, I did here of a stock of new wheels being sold a while ago from Fiat dealers. I don't know if any are still around. I hope this helps.
